Memorial Day Commemorative Rifle Match

To commemorate Memorial Day and those who gave the greatest sacrifice we will hold a rifle shoot at the 100 and 200 yard rifle ranges. any semi-automatic or bolt action rifle used in a US war can be shot at either 100 or 200 yard ranges, what ever you are comfortable with. These rifles can include M1903, M1903A3, Enfields, Mosin-Nagants, Garands, M1 Carbines, AR 15’s.
We will shoot the normal CMP M-1 Garand course of fire which is 10 rounds slow fire prone, 10 rounds rapid fire prone and 10 rounds slow fire offhand. If you can’t shoot some of these positions, no problem. shoot however you like. We will shoot some sighters.
Medals will be awarded for first, second, and third places at the conclusion of the match in the following CMP classes:
Vintage Military / Springfield (as issued)
M-1 Garand (as issued)
M-1 Carbine (as issued)
Modern Military / Service Rifle
Unlimited ( for rifles that don’t meet CMP rules for one of the other classes listed)
The Club has 4 Garand’s available for your use. You can buy the 30-06 M1 ammunition from the Club at $25 per 35 rounds. Please do not bring commercial 30-06 ammunition for these rifles.
The fee is $5 for members, $10 for non- members. You can shoot more than one rifle type as we expect relays will be needed. The fee includes targets and one relay, If you wish to shoot additional relays you will need to pay the fee for each relay. Registration, rifle inspection, and squading will begin at 8:30 am. First shots at 9.
Prior to the shoot a brief moment of silence will be observed for those who lost their lives. Even if you don’t want to shoot bring the family and come anyway, see and handle the rifles that were used in the wars.
